Kunark

Please tell me its coming Soon.

I came into EQ when Kunark was launched back in the day. I prefer Kunark leveling over pretty much any other zone in EQ. I lived in Kunark's City of Mist for months at a time. I Roleplayed in Kunark's Outpost with my friends. I could easily play on Project EQ... ... good luck finding a group!

Please tell me Kunark is coming soon. I has withdrawls!

We are an indeterminate amount of months away from Kunark. I've seen a time frame of between 4-6 months thrown around.

Pfft, just use the time now to level up a mage, farm some gear, then re-roll when kunark comes out. That's what everyone else is doing!

Before I joined there was October being thrown around by the community and I mentioned this to Nilbog in passing who informed me this is definitely not an official date. There has been none. Just a heads up!

When Air opens you will know you have a couple months to go.

In the interview on tentonhammer (linked elsewhere), they definitively stated that they are following the original release timeline.

However, there have been some hiccups in that timeline so far, so who knows.

*IF* they are following the original timeline, *THEN* Kunark would be coming out in October of this year. Personally, I hope that this is indeed the case - I'm in no rush to reach the end of the line.

The main reason that the date is not set in stone is because they want everything to work as best as possible before they release it. So basically if things are still unfinished in October then they will not release it until later.

This is a good thing and I for one admire and appreciate the tons of work that these guys are doing.

I said we would TRY to follow the original timeline, and release expansions roughly a year apart.

Even if it's a little behind the original timeline, that would be OK for those of us who are not power gamers :)

The casual gamer really got left behind more and more as each expansion came out. (Yes, I understand there are more demographics that play the game than just the casual gamer ;))
