These forums are merely excellent entertainment - the TMO brigade is a riot! Aside from the entertainment value, it's also just interesting to play with them and see how they respond to various attacks on their sense-valuation on P1999. It's like probing into the narrative of people with an inferiority complex.
You are aware that you've just admitted to being nothing more than a troll, right?

There is no winning here. However, since you've failed to offer a rebuttal to anything I've said, it could be taken to mean that you're losing. It is interesting that once you were backed into a corner you resorted to the "It's just for lulz" argument. It is my experience that people only use that one when they're too afraid to admit the possibility they might be wrong. I would wait for your reply, but I suspect the only address you'll make to my points are "it's not worth my time." If that's the case, save yourself the effort; we already know you're trolling.

It is, again, telling that you enjoy provoking people with insults and barbs. Since you're a fan of human nature, I suspect you'll have a DSM IV lying around. Try to find out what this whole insulting people for lulz thing is.

Once you've figured it out, grab a mirror. I'm sure you'll be able to give yourself endless entertainment.

I'm glad you remember your training. I double majored in computer science and psychology and currently in grad school doing experimental work with machine learning and in particular natural language processing. Since MMORPGs model human interacts surprisingly well I actually use log files from these games in some of my research to collect data to analyze.

That aside and on a less computational level, I've always been fascinated with this concept of trolling and how people carry themselves on the internet. It's interesting to see how people interpret hostility or threat to status in a virtual environment where the aggressor stimuli is entirely fictional. As technology plays an increasingly important roles in our social lives, mapping contrived stimuli to appropriate natural stimuli and triggering correct behavioral responses will be important in human-machine-human interactions.

I find it even more interesting how someone can misinterpret hostility and "threats to status". The ego is a fascinating thing.

I strongly doubt you're using any of this interchange for any form of research. I directly question the value of upsetting random people by casting aspersions on their social values and interactions.

However, if you are truly doing this for some cause other than your own entertainment, I look forward to the fruits of your labor in the form of a peer-reviewed journal. That said, you admitted several posts earlier that you are specifically doing this for entertainment:

These forums are merely excellent entertainment.
In light of this, what was the point of bringing up all of your "research?" Was it to inflate your social value in the eyes of others? Do you wish to "wear the crown" in the sandbox that is the P99 forum?

And you have the gall to say that we have complexes?

I look forward to your reasoned rebuttal.

TLDR:

Oh god what have I started.
