I'm confused. Does running uphill in everquest slow you down, or does your rate of movement stay constant?

Your rate of movement stays constant but some of that is going into traveling farther up the Z-axis and so your overall rate on a flat plane slows down.

As a corollary, one used to be able to abuse this pretty heavily when kiting/fleeing with lev.

I'm not sure if it's still possible (or ever was on this server, I don't kite a ton), but I definitely remember using it on my druid back in the day.
