Kunark Maps

Apparently a guild on the Veeshan Server called Outriders of Karana came up with these maps so here ya go.

There's a player on the server who has gathered all the maps he can find and has been maintaining a great map archive. You can view them HERE

All this stuff is awesome. I found Striiker's link in particular breathtaking. Thanks so much to the person who hosts and compiled those maps. Players back then put so much time and energy and love into mapping the complicated world of Everquest. Games of today do not get nearly the amount of attention and care from players that EQ did. And I'm not sure if it's because the players don't give a sh1t or the game producers keep putting out junk.

Yeah, it's really cool to see the playerbase so involved in developing the resources for the game.

It's not that later games are junk...It's that they're built a lot more completely than EQ was so things like player-made maps are less necessary. For example, I only used player-made maps in WoW for dungeons (for obvious reasons) or mining. But WoW wasn't and isn't a junk game. I had a ton of fun playing it for a few years.

EQ was raw enough that these kinds of resources are essential.

Just topped 660 maps on the EQ Map Archive. Hopefully, the new navbar will be up this weekend.

As always, submissions are welcome.

Hopefully my connection map will help ya in Kunark & the rest of the world. Zones that are not in "live" yet are grey'ed out. Its on the wiki for all to see and uses.

Very nice connection map! I never liked the one linked off the Wiki zone list.

Enjoying the maps today :). Noticed the East Karana maps do not include one that shows just how long that ramp is. Not sure if I have a version showing the ramp in my archives. Here are two versions that show the ramp. The first one is flash but has a printout option; maybe you can print then scan it in. Second map is kinda weak but does show the ramp.

Some of questor's maps may be found at http://invectus.www5.50megs.com/maps.htm including nice map of west karan: http://invectus.www5.50megs.com/cgi-bin/i/maps/WK3.jpg

And although the links on the following are all but broken; it is a nice complication of what EQ sites used to exist.

Some nice pictures here.

I have noticed that none of the maps from the eq atlas are here. Is there a reason for that or does nobody have them? I have the book and would be happy to scan them all in i just dont have the ability to host them.
