One character freezing screen

Within seconds of logging in, the screen freezes on my main character, currently in Sebilis zone in. This ONLY happens with my main. Every other character I have in game is 100% stable wherever they go.

I have tried deleting the character file for p99, I have tried deleting and repairing in the files for Sebilis. I have tried to be in windowed mode and full screen mode in all three different resolutions and the problem still persists for only my main.

Months ago when this very same character was grouping in Oasis, the same thing had happened and I was unable to play him for months until the problem corrected itself. I recently did a fresh install of the game due to another issue to try to get the game to work that has since resolved. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Update: perhaps it could be a sound file? As soon as I hear anyone cast anything it locks on this toon.

I am still having this issue but I am still able to play all of my alts. Again, any help is appreciated.

Same Symptoms

I'm having the same issue on my Main. I can log on other characters and no issues. Usually happens after sending tells but has froze just sitting there 5 seconds after log in.

if you think its sound file problems, you could try these updated sounds made, originally to combat the excessive volume on bags opening + closing

Given that its only on a specific character my hunch is that its a UI issue. I had a problem once where I sized one of my chat boxes to a size that apparently caused the game to repeatedly crash, to the point I couldn't even get back into the character to adjust it.

Ended up deleting the files for that character specifically and just recreating everything and haven't had the problem since.

that could be the case, shrinking a chat channel too small can bork things.
try deleting ui_charname_P1999Server.ini
