Pardon me if this has already been adressed elsewhere, but I was curious about the Jboots -- Are they currently dropping in Najena?

No, they were removed a while ago. You have to do the quest now to get them.

Why were they removed? Kill stealing?

They were removed because this server is following the patch history from Live. If an item was removed 3 months after launch on Live, they will remove it 3 months after launch here as well...

P.S. In reference to that -- how do we know when Sony did these things? Did Sony keep a log? Is it all in the code? Just curious.

We obviously do not use sony code... no one has that but Sony.

They most certainly added most to patch notes - and usually were taken out due to conflicts / balance issues.\

Most if not all nerfs and or changes to items and quests are being done as close to the classic timeline as the devs can muster.

The j-boots drop nerf coincided with a bunch of other nerfs that happened at the same time on Live (including but not limited to Rubicite, Box of Abu-kar, Guise of the Deceiver, etc.).
