Bright Desktop Minimize Bug

Has anyone else encountered this or figured out how to fix it? Currently if I minimize EQ my screen goes overly bright until I bring EQ back up. This persists until I shut EQ down. Anyone know how to fix?

Perhaps this will be of use to you. Don't remember where I found it, but it works well.
