Is this a bug or some kind of resist?
 

Cinder Bolt is supposed to do between 256 and 333 damage. Why did it do 111?

Partial resist. Happens a lot when fighting red mobs.

I just got another for 222. I'm guessing it's a division thing?

Hmm I'm not sure of the formula. Apparently some modifier relative to your level / mob level.

Any mob has the chance to partially resist a spell. Just a higher chance for higher-con mobs. It does seem strange that you're getting such fractional amounts, though. They tended to be a lot more random.

Are those the only two partials you've had so far, or just the two that stuck in your mind most?

Idk, my starfire is 612 normally, and it seems like either it partially resists in the 200's, or the 400's.

I think it has some sort of a 1/3 or 2/3 divisional thing attached to it.

i often shoot out my 152DD for 1 point of damage.. i even did this 2 times in a row already.. on a blue mob too :P

Edit: NM, I was off on the 20 different hit range statement. But! I did find the original parsed information from 2000 for warriors! Yay, I found it, I feel like I found gold.
