Can warriors server as a dps member of a group?

Or are they only capable of being tanks really

I've seen some warriors do crazy damage at early levels (25ish) doing crushing blows for 250 dmg. Not sure how they stack up late game though, I would think they would just get stronger.

Azzudniz tells the guild, '/G Gwan in 114s, 24k @209dps --- Atravesar 6k @60dps (26.73%) --- Stun 5k @46dps (21.68%) --- Sakuragi 5k @48dps (21.17%) --- Azzudniz 5k @94dps (20.94%) --- Snoogan 2k @21dps (9.47%)'

Atravesar - 60 Rogue (epic/blood point), Stun - 59 Monk (tstaff), Sakuragi - 60 Warrior (sarnak warhammer/wurmslayer), Azzudniz - 60 Wizard, Snoogan - 60 Paladin (epic, tanking).

This is my perception based on your typical player, ignoring exceptional people doing exceptional or quirky things. Made this in like 2 mins and it's not meant to be all that accurate more a general idea of how I see dps comparing between classes.

Let me know if I'm completely fucking wrong

(Sustained dps over the course of a group, not burning down a boss)

Wizards are probably even below bards for sustained dps to be honest.

For xp groups I would guess Mages and Necros beat out Warriors and Rangers by a bit; for raid mobs not so much because of resists.

I guess if I had to throw out numbers i would say:

Enc/110 Rog/85 Monk/65 War/Rng/Nec/Mag 55 Shm/40 Sk/Pal 35 Bard 25 Wiz/Dru/Clr 18

That being said Warriors with level 60 offensive disc up can put out some pretty decent damage

what about a warrior with oggok cleaver and good haste, and under 40% for cripplings :P?

I think I would have to put a Shaman in between the Sk and Pally, Bard. I agree with the rest.

As a off and on Cleric here and live, I will take a Warrior any day to heal in a group. They have slow and steady DPS and slow and steady health decreases. Predictable. They can take a real beating well geared.

Are there better DPS of course, can warriors contribute good steady DPS, absolutely.

Before I quit, when kunark first came out, I remember using my 54 disc with dual wurmslayers and quadding for about 450 a hit, almost 2k dps a swing :D with plane of sky haste belt and enchanter haste in seb.. The mob died waaay before my disc timer ran out haha

...

:( I Miss playing as bashndash lol

It really depends what level range you are looking at and also if the warrior is tanking or doing his dps from the back. Sure a war can contribite significant sustained dps but in practicality I cant see a group taking a war over a rogue if both are level appropriate and available unless it its your friends/guildies sending the invite.
