So why do people around here hate Dwarves?
 

That's likely the race I was going to roll my Paladin alt with, but having a search around the forums, seems like a lot of people around here hate Dwarves. Any particular reason why? I mean they have good stats/racial bonuses for just about any class, and awesome beards...

And conversely, everyone seems to love halflings, which I don't get at all. They're ugly, smelly, consume food/drink twice as fast and don't wear shoes. If any race should be hated, it's halfling/hobbits.

Halflings are far superior, sexier, xp bonus. Good area to lvl up in misty.

Dwarfs are just ugly imo. They get no play or groups... ya dig?

Play what you want, but you will be hated on at some point or another, but if you can take the sarcasm or bs thrown at you then make a dwarf...

That pretty much goes with every race/class combo though, someone always got somethin to say on the grind to 60 regardless wether it be joking or not about your race/class combo. Just all opinions.

Truth.

They are short, so can do stuff unnoticed, are smelly and drink all the beer. In a word: they deserve it.

Petitpas/Nagash/Jinbao

Dwarves get completely gimped on Velious armor textures; it is devoid of any actual texture and just looks like somebody used the paint bucket in Photoshop to color them.

it's not cuz of dwarves, its the bronies.
