weight while naked

Hey,

I've just started leveling a monk, and I am having some serious weight limit issues. I can barely hold my weapons and armor, and I can farm maybe 10-15 mobs before I have to run to a vendor. I noticed (after dieing) that my weight was 30/80 with literally nothing in my inventory or equipped. Is there a reason for this?

Sounds like a glitch. Your UI might display 30 stone, but in reality its 0

You don't need to worry too much about the weight issue at your level. Just keep killing stuff, but don't get to the point of encumbrance.

But, when I go over my weight limit (80), my AC goes down. When I looted my corpse, every item added to the 30.

My main was a monk all through my classic tenure. This is the breakdown for classic/Live monk weight restriction to stay under without AC penalty:

Level 1-14: < 15
Level 15-29: < 16
Level 30-44: < 17
Level 45-50: < 18
Level 51-54: < 19
Level 55-59: < 21
Level 60: < 25

The 30 stone while stripped sounds like a bug. Might consider posting it to the Bug forum.

Repeat after me 50 times. AC IS BROKEN IN P1999 for a Monk below level 50. It does not make a bit of difference. I know your AC will go down but it does not make a crap. Get over it until you are 45 or higher.

I really don't care about the AC. I was just suggesting that it wasn't a UI bug because once I hit the cap, I can see a reduction. What I do care about is losing speed. That makes a HUGE difference.

I wish I could test it further right now, but my brother is playing right now, and I've had an ip exception in for 3 days.

Speed? Attack speed or movement speed?

One never happens and the other one doesn't until you exceed your weight limit.

urzaplanewalker 12-27-2012 09:45 PM

Yes. And I'm easily exceeding my weight limit because I'm carrying 30 lbs from no where. =/

webrunner5 12-27-2012 10:13 PM

Well that is a valid problem that should not exist.
