What should my friend play?
Hey.
I am a shaman and my friend can't decide what to play. Since I am playing a shaman we are thinking to roll a Melee class that can make use of all the melee buffs. We plan to duo mostly in both pve and pvp and want to be a combo that meshes well together for both aspects. We kind of narrowed it down to warrior, monk, or mage. We're trying to compare level 60 with velious potential in mind. War for triple attack, high hp, innate mr, tanks well for pve, high dmg, stun kick. Mnk for mend, fd , tstaff broken proc, higher dps output, not so great hp or tanking. Mag for nuke and second Malo, nukes, pet dmg, but can't zone dance. We're not doing hybrid because the xp penalty sucks. I've spoken with 3 60 monks and 2 60 wars and have gotten mixed information. With each claiming they are better or claiming the other is better. Maybe someone here has played both? What do you think, one of these or something else? |
well I think shaman monk is one of the infamous duos of the earlier eras. I'm making an alt monk to rape with. It is a big help to have good gear though

stay the fuck away from pure melee for now, go ranger, rogue, bard or warrior once epics come out for obvious lulz
right now i'd roll a wizard or a druid |
Do not play a melee by yourself.
Druid can aggro kite pretty effectively to let the melee gets his licks in.. I'd just roll enchanter/cleric combo if I knew what was good for me. |
you can lvl fast as sham-chanter if they know what theyre doing.

Yep.

if you wanna pve chanter the most OP thing ive ever witnessed. necro druid good too. necro for faster killing, druid for fast killing + utility.
