To be fair, charm really does start off as "it can work but it's very difficult to make it very effective" and quickly moves to "wow, so strong" and ends up being "wtf godly" at 51+.

EQ had a few hundred thousand subscribers ever, right? Every random mobile tetris clone has that many users nowadays.

Probably most of the players here on launch day are still playing. They're just not all playing every day at the same times like they were when...
