Just don't bump your post, they hate that. Years ago it took them about a month to process my exemption. Some people get it faster, some longer.

IP exemptions are just about the only petition type that screw you when you bump. Everything else is okay, but we work in reverse order for IP exemptions by last post, so don't dump them
