I also am having this same issue and have tried all that has been mentioned so far.

I was running great until sunday night when WinEQ updated.
The strange thing is the error I get. "You cannot attach a debugger while playing project 1999" I wanna play on the EZ server or Hidden forest and I can't even get to server select. How does it know I am going to log into P99? Was code added to prevent this?
