Half Elves start in Surefall Glade near Qeynos.

Human rangers start in Surefall Glade near Qeynos.

If you are a half-elf - make a level and hoof it over to Halas/Everfrost - best newbie zone in game...when you are done there at level 6 or so....go to the shaman guild in Halas, buy gate, and go home!
