Terminology problem heh.
If your pet attacks elemental mobs, the swords will proc. If your pet attacks non-elemental mobs, they will not proc.
That is because the proc spell is called "Ward Summoned" which normally can only be cast on elemental mobs - much like your "Ward Undead" spell can only be cast on undead mobs.
(Off topic: your pet is undead)
