I don't think I've ever bothered to learn all the facts. I think both guilds cheated but Holocaust did so last and got banned? Honestly, I mostly remember thinking how funny it was that a bunch of dipshits under the banner "Holocaust" spent so much time crying about being persecuted. I mean, you'd think guys who can find humor in genocide would understand that life is not fair.

Colgate is some angry guy who didn't even play on Red99 from the start. Apparently he joined late and is spewing the same propaganda that gets thrown around in an excuse to be angry on an internet forum.
What happened (if anyone cares, don't blame you if you don't), is that Nihilum got the server first Nagafen kill with like 20ish players, and it was legitimate. 2 or 3 kills later, Nagafen got stuck in a wall. Nihilum attempted to get it unstuck but were unable to, so when it came down to just leaving it there for someone else to exploit kill or just kill it themselves, they killed it. Sure, it was killed via an exploit but content bugged out and there wasn't much to do about it. The bug (which was related to recent LOS changes) was reported to the GMs.
A couple weeks or so later Holocaust wanted a shot at Nagafen, they brought 40+ and wiped a couple times. Then someone from Nihilum (I think Heartbrand?) spilled the beans to them about the exploit, and then exploit killed Nagafen twice.
Rogean suspended a couple dudes out of their 40-50 man raid force, and then they instantly started to claim that they were being persecuted unjustly by Rogean and threatened to disband their guild (sound familiar?)
The whole thing got ridiculous and it just became grown men slinging childish insults at each other all day for weeks and all the sane people quit Red99. It hasn't really recovered sense. It was 100% the fault of the toxic community, and not the result of any GM decisions.
