Default Hey yes it's me.

No I'm not getting on to anyone and I love the job the coders have done for the emulator.
No, as a guide for SEO for 2 years and playing EQ and EQ2 for 10yrs+ total (started playing in 4th stage BETA) I would never curse at anyone or drop the F*** bomb.
I have a little more respect then that for everyone including these people that do something that I could never do.
Yes, I know they could pull the plug and yes.. who knows maybe it's not a problem they can just fix.
I'm merely am pointing out one of the things I have noticed.
Is that not what we are suppose to do? Is to let them know, of possible problems so that they might be able to correct said problems to make it more enjoyable for everyone?..
Isn't that the very reason they are running the server in the first place instead of running their personal server just for themselves?
I would like to think I'm being helpful and not rude. *cough* like some. And if I have offended anyone.... I'm sorry
Now back to the issue, and maybe it can be discussed in a civil manner.

Old world things aren't suppose to run as fast as SoW. This includes the mobs I have noticed the most such as:
The beetles in the Karanas
Lions
Bears
Orcs
etc....
your everyday mobs.
Yes, IF snared AND if you have SoW you can out run them. I remember though out running them if the SoW was applied and not the snare.. no they were pretty close and if you wanted to, say kite them for example, you had to snare them.. but with SoW alone you could get away or make it to the zone line without having to run sideways. IF you didn't have sow.. you could out run a mob with just jumping ... that was until your vitality ran out.. if you didn't have Sow and your vitality was gone from jumping to try to get away then they would eventually catch up to you.
Now.. Just a question.. If it is due to a "range" hit problem so they have sped up the run speed of the mobs... why don't they fix that?
Now I'm only pointing this out because if it is suppose to be as close to the original as possible it would be nice if the mechanics of the run speed and stuff which plays a "so so" importance be correct. At least it would be nice.
Yes, because I do like what they have done.. I just canceled my subscription to EQ2. (They are making to many changes, making it feel like WoW or any of the run of the mill MMOs out there) I like the classic. I like the challenge it presented. And I think it is incredible what they have done.
BUT, I also think if I'm going to start donating ( hehe I was paying $80 mo. for all my accounts for me and my kids who play now) which my wife and I have been considering doing on a monthly sort of bases.. then yes I think I, in a small way, have the right to let them know of things that might need to be corrected.
And finally, yes I know when it all boils down to it..... they have the right to listen or not, which inevitably won't make a difference to me. I'm just curious, think I have a touch of O. C. D. and notice the little things (guess that is why I make such a good jailer).
So to who ever...
Great project so far.. love the classic server.. If I happen to notice anything else.. will let you know so you can look into it. I'll probably be here years to come helping and supporting.

And to those who know a little more then how to through out four letter words and might not have understood the bigger words I might have used above...
www.dictionary.com is a great place to find the definitions to even the most perplexing (oops used another one) words.....
