Wurm online pvp was amazing, regret selling my Libila Champion account some of the game mechanics involved in casting spells in that game was crazy as shit
literally had to lead sermons to get "mana" and i would need like 10+ people standing around or it wouldn't work and none of the god damn spells worked anyway but we all still happily paid like 10 euros a month for mmo in alpha phase basically

The game will never get the attention it deserves because it's just too harsh in terms of grind and mechanics. HOwever, for people who like it anyway, the news needs to get out. I can't even start explaining how much of an impression this game had on me. Standing out in a clearing in a forest at night with a cart and danger all around and intrigue and being new and not knowing where you're going to go and no in-game map or radars... on a pvp server... for me it was bliss. Trees that actually stuck around and could be killed or replanted or become a different tree. A place where players really can have an impact on the world, especially on the PvP servers. The pvp serers relaxed a lot of hte rules common in other MMORPGs. No lvl limits... everything you had could be stolen. And back when I started this game was dirt cheap. It's still only about $21 for 2 months of premium. I know that doesn't include deeds, but I've never felt the need to make a deed so far.
I haven't played lately. I got turned off by some crashing. I log in occasionally to lower decay. I've lost several homes over time. The game is becoming less harsh, but it's the danger that's always been attractive to me. Can't explain why I'm that way. Maybe I'm a thrill seeker, but in RL I'm a coward, so how can I be a thrill seeker? I just like danger in games. The feeling I can lose everything. That's why I play on the pvp servers. That's why I played Wurm Online to begin with. I enjoyed the way the game was. It was unfriendly. I liked it.
