I always feel bad criticizing my other group members, especially now that my main's level 50, because everyone thinks they're pro at this level. But the fact is, some people will just never learn how to assist, call their pet off, use messages that say "x is mezzed" or "y is charmed" or "assist me on z". Some people will also never read these messages. It amazes me that I go through the effort of making macros like "/stopsong /cast 8 /g ~mezzing %t !!~~" and people will still attack the mezzed mob, when it has a different name than the not-mezzed mob. Now, don't get me wrong - I think that Bards should work around their group just as much as groups should work around the Bard. If the Bard makes an extremely poor CC decision, it's okay to attack the mezzed mob, and I won't care and I will apologize if I'm the idiot Bard in that scenario. It happens more than I'd prefer that the automated messages cause more confusion than they take away, but what can you do.
Back on the topic: apparently /pet back wipes the pet's aggro list, but a mage I was grouped with in Royals once said otherwise. Was he just an idiot?
