Meridian 59 was the only early graphical MMORPG I never played, was the before The Realm? I remember playing the crap out of The Realm long before UO was around, I can't recall if it came out before or after Meridian 59 though.

I played Meridian, it was awful and more or less a slide show on my comp at the time. Believe it or not, its still up!

Whether it predated the realm or not I really can't say, but I am pretty sure it predated NWN, and I did mean the AOL one.

If you don't restrict yourself to role-playing games, then you have graphical/realtime MMOG's from fall 1987 onwards with "Air Warrior" on GENIE. Yes, 1987, with an "8." Some players on P1999 weren't born yet.

Heh yeah, I remember hearing about air warrior, although I never played it. The timelines I was referring to were specifically about RPG's tho.
