Put a lid on it, and wait for it to almost boil, then turn heat to low:

Leave it for~ 25 minutes. If you're like me, you'll start hearing sizzling sounds soon because you forgot to turn the heat down and it's escaping down the pot onto the burner. Luckily you notice before anything burns, but congrats on making a mess!
