actually the shoot down of the plane is very relevant to the world events, ruch as the russian invasion of crimea.
(shoot down) yes, it was shot down. everyone has very itchy fingers atm and is not going to allow any unidentified(mis-identified in this case) plane to fly into there airspace. in this case, the aircraft got to close to what i suspect as a military( might have been US, might have been RUSSIAN or CHINESE) fleet and they got shot down due to the hightened security.
israel closed every single embassy and foreign office a couple days ago, recalled every single diplomat. Normally they would only recall the ones that are in danger but in order to not direct any attention publicly yet to the situation they closed every single one.
This has been a an ongoing thing for YEARS, not to long ago russians shot down the polish presidents plane, due to NATO expansion in the region which included a US anti missile shield being put in poland, when the polish president died the guy who followed him up was against the the expansion.
Anyways, what im getting at here is russia has been doing the same shit we did with the arab spring, they just tried to put a puppet into powder in ukraine, tried to start protests and shit to force the situation.
the US and RUSSIA have been tit for tat for quite a long time, there was a lull after the coldwar but faded very quickly, you can backtrack a few years ago and look at the syria situation, we are trying to encircle russia further cutting off there ability to project power around the world by cutting off there access to ports, such as in syria, if the US gains power in syria and is able to charge high rates for the russians to use the port there it would be a huge blow.
now look at the ukraine situation, another russian port in this country that wants into the euro union, a direct threat to yet another one of russians ports and therefor ability to project power globally.
Anyways, food for thought, right now all of the worlds super powers all have the nuclear missile silos, nuclear 1st strike attack subs, at the highest levels of readyness. Never has there been a time probably in the past 40 years that there has been a more serious situation right now.
