I was soloing orc 1 and I'd go after random trash that would path around orc 1 (lots of people do this when camping orc 1), and I'd have to poof my own pet because it was clearly in the path of the griffin. So, strictly speaking, if you ONLY camp the orcs you'll be fine, but most orc 1 camps don't do that.
