Hardmode. I played
a lot of other games since Y2k and I can honestly say that getting to max lvl and raiding in those games sucked. It's ezmode in MMO's nowadays, the raiders have absolutely no skill in many cases, or no endurance to suffer through death and wipes. Classic hardmode made everyone work a bit more just to make max lvl (and on Rallos it was even harder lol). This meant a greater amount of skilled raiders, and a better overall experience.
By keeping as faithful as possible to the original, P99 has kept what was great about the game, and made the best part of the game come alive, good people who know how to play. The flakes and slackers usually fall by the wayside much faster.

It's essentially free, I've donated before but really, there's no demand to do so. I've played for far more than my donation money would get me in any other game.

GM/Guide help: In classic I got my surname around the time I dinged 22. Here I got it in under an hour.
