I found the issue with the spell not working on right targets.

However, the message of not being the correct kind of mob seems flakey.

Anyone know what the error message should be if cast on wrong type of mob?

And should it not consume peridots, when cast on wrong mob? This is a bit trickier to fix, but would need to add something to cover this.
