On my server on live when i first started (around kunark era) FBSS was still around the price it is on this server. GEBs was pretty much exactly the price it is here for a long time. I really dont get why people think everything was so super cheap in classic. Maybe on some servers items were cheaper than others but that doesn't mean the server isnt like classic just because you don't remember items being those prices.
