is actually a pretty solid tanking weapon vs very strong targets, but unless you wanna blow mallets or something on every mob you'd be better off with SoDs vs most things.
People will hit ac hardcap if they aren't already very quickly into velious. It's a lot lower than you'd think. I believe it was 289 worn? It's on the forums somewhere.

That's the one I was thinking. And I thought the warrior cap was higher than that. That looks low for warrior.
How I remember it going down was tanks would use DW until defensive dropped then they would swap to 1h / shield to extend their tanking and save the tank swap as long as possible. More specifically due to most guilds having a main tank who was best geared and a only a few other decent geared tanks. Forcing you to ride out your MT as long as possible, since he had a decent chance of survival even without defensive.
