Aaaactually, mob camping came about before you even started playing. Who can recall the time when IB and Transcendence were neck and neck on mobs? Trans camped Naggy for 12 hours, and IB came in.. and that what's-his-face GM said, "yeah... you guys engage, and I will be TROGDOR THE BANNINATOR!" Okay, those won't his words but that was the message. They got 3 attempts, and more members kept showing up. Yeah, that's where the mob camping came from, Harrison.

it's like you make the atomic bomb (server) and you don't want to let other countries (guilds) have nuclear secrets (under the radar information). it's gm's business and no one else's or else everyone gets nuked. letting Iran or North Korea beta test and keep the successful nukes, makes other countries uncomfortable.
