Hi all,

Been on p1999 for a while and have a 51 mag that I am totally tired of (I find the magician class just really boring to play, both solo and in groups).

I would like to create a new alt and am looking for some advice both on what to make and how to gear them. I have a very hectic schedule, so I really only get to play 1-3 hours at a time sporadically which makes a melee class a pretty tough choice. I think I would like to try a necro, shaman, or druid. I have been reading the threads on this forum and all seem to be like very common suggestions (along wit enc, though I don't want to play one) for someone with my schedule.

More specifically though, I'd like to hear some thoughts on which require you to be more active when you are in groups? I would like to combine that with something that can solo pretty well with an hour here and there to play.

Finally, apart from the suggestion on class, I will have about 10k plat total to gear him. Depending on your class suggestion, what are the most important items in this price range to buy to help while leveling?
