if you find casters boring, then imo dru or nec wont be much of a change. have you tried a monk or bard?
shm is probably the most fun caster. As you can opt to spend half the time in melee. Which gives fights a bit more edge to them.
necro is the most powerful class imo (having played a necro to 76 on live) but I still felt it was a bit dull esp in the grp game.
