Due to spell stacking this is how the game functions.
Turgur's being 75% slow is more potent than Hoshkar's 55% slow. Both occupying slot 2. Meaning if you have Turgur's on it blocks Diseased Cloud from landing. Forlorn Deeds would work as well.
But doing that is tedious, have to duel each person and camp....
Plenty of examples of this in EQ. Cazic Thule in PoTime, you could block the snare/silence effect by casting Ensnare on yourself and others. Later on you could use a crappy SK DoT that no one ever cast to prevent Morell Thule from self buffing with a huge DS.
Though I've never known of a guild who would utilize that gray area (using a buff or detrimental effect to block a more harmful one)... That didn't use more sketchy tactics. This is a gray area... One that some people call a legit tactic (heard the argument that you use Levitate to prevent GFluxs from killing) and some people call a cheese and stay away from.
Really needs dev comments to decide whether that is allowable or not. But mechanically, I can confirm this is classic.
EDIT: Haynar beat me. Confirmed Devs taking a stand against sketchy tactics. I approve. Next PoFear mobs need to accelerate speed when kited around if CT or Draco are up.
