Tent, check (I guess I lied when I said I was shopping for 100% of the items tomorrow). Bought an 8-person tent for two people so I can have a living room, bedroom, powder room, etc etc etc.
Those are the tents that blow away, crappy fibreglass poles snapping, in bad weather at Scout camps, while my kids are snug and dry in good quality 4 man tents with aluminum poles even in howling winds and torrential downpours.

Just in case anyone else is in the market get a good brand (Eureka for example) and keep it smallish, a 4 man tent is roomy for 2 adults, a 2 man is good for single adults. Get vestibules (parts of the fly that extend in front and back of the tent so you can store gear etc. in the back and keep muddy boots etc. in the front) and two doors front and back.

My $0.02.

Yours In Scouting,
Scouter Mg
