There are a few repositories of the old EQ Music available online.
A quick Google yeilded:

When I was playing on EQ Mac someone made a post about laurasmidiheaven.com.
That MIDI site seems to be down now but it had a fine collection of Everquest music.
In the same thread Utdaan says this:

Some people here already know this. I was on some of the original EQ music that was done with a live orchestra. I was playing with a very good community orchestra in San Diego at the time SOE hired some of us to record some tracks. A lot of it was just MIDI (electronic sampled instrumental sounds) but some was live musicians. I didn't know what it was for at the time (I knew it was SOE, but they kept things all hush hush) and didn't figure it out until I got EQMac and the patch for the updated Miles library back in 2003/04 and I heard the combat music. Most of us never played with sound on because there was a bug that either crashed EQ or you lagged down to less than one frame per second. I still remember the first time I heard the combat music (which was me playing 2 different tracks on trombone along with a buddy that laid down 2 french horn tracks) I freaked out in guild chat. Of course, that ended up beign my least favorite track. Most fun was BoT upper courtyard music.
