The sad truth is that he's right. Even from the perspective of women, it is a pretty common fetish. Various studies, across several decades, have shown around 50% of women have these fantasies. The key word there is "fantasy." Fantasies are, by their natures, unreal and to fantasize about rape is a very controlled, sanitized thing, very different from an actual rape.
