Funny story about those life jackets.
I was in a provincial park and co's (conservation officers) surrounded the small island in the rapids my friends and I were drinking on. My buddy Andrew took our cooler in one hand, his dog in the other using the life jacket and jumped into the river down the rapids to his boat. He got in, lit a smoke and gave em the finger as he fucked off across the main lake to his cabin.
No alcohol anywhere = no open liquor charges.
