Even with the cap, Wu's staff is fine. Otherwise if you have plat to spend, Jade Mace's or the Trance sticks are good until the cap is lifted. After the cap, Wu's staff will out DPS most one hand combinations. Whatever you do, make sure to cap all your skills every level.
