If you made sure to merge (not replace) the folders in the latest patch, then ignore the "spell files are out of date" and just keep trying to log in. Telling you it's "out of date" is the default when the server cannot verify for whatever connectivity reason. Just because it says it's "out of date" doesn't mean it really is.
