Well, turning red isn't permanent, and can be changed back if it becomes an issue later on, even if it is a bit more difficult as an evil race, but honestly I don't really want to switch back.
As far as "most evenings" is concerned, I do want committed people for this. Every time i've tried making untwinked alts with people, it flops because people don't want to commit. I think it's way to easy to detach yourself from a character, and a group of friends you only ever play with/interact with once a week. I want this to be 3 nights a week minimum.
Again, I think this project is perfect for people who are maybe a bit bored with the normal server. If you're concerned about taking time away from mains and not wanting to spend more than a couple hours a week on the character, this probably isn't for you.
I don't mean that to sound rude, but I really want this to be something fun, something the 6 of us look forward to doing every night "Oh, I can't wait to get home from work so I can play my new RP character! I really really want to finish my Stein of Moggok quest tonight!". It shouldn't be like a job that you're forcing yourself to do once a week just because you know 1 night a week on a different character will boost morale so you can get your main to 60 or whatever.
Also, I *am* a bit ambitious in what I want here. I don't need 100 people for this, I just need 5. I don't think it's really impossible to imagine that there aren't 5 other people on the server, who would like to do this and play most evenings.
Also, i'm not really thinking about "If this group breaks I want this character to still be useful". I'm making this character solely for the purpose of having a RP experience with some new in-game friends. Planning on it not working out from the beginning, and giving yourself every chance for a way out is just setting the whole thing up for failure.
Thanks for the interest Ketu, I don't mean to try and steer you away, but I want to make sure the people who want to do this with me, have the same heart for it that I do. It's going to be a slow grind, with characters in crappy gear, playing twice as much as the fungi wearing Monk buddy they know and leveling 3 times as slow. But it's going to be a good time, with good people, and a very classic EQ experience
