From what i read - they're useless wizards who cast shit and have no mana. I know this is classic, but clearly the devs back in the kunark era were idiots about having pets with mana/cast spells. Any chance this will be corrected so that fire pets are actually worth using post 50?

Probably not. Maybe they did suck, but it was never corrected or called a "bug," to my knowledge. Just the way things were.
