Forgot about Pillars of the Earth. First heard about it when they made the mini-series and vaguely remember making a mental note to read it but I forgot, so thanks. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Pillars is a great book, I haven't met anyone who didn't like it. However, don't read the sequel, it's a huge disappointment. I'm starting to read Follett's century trilogy, hopefully it'll be as good as pillars

WHOA. how dare you describe Lord Baelish as "scummery"
im really hoping Sansa doesnt magically turn into some dumb emo bitch. hopefully they bring her along slowly. i like that shes learning how to play "the game". but that should be a very long process, especially considering Sansa's starting point. sadly, i do fear that she will ultimately be the end of Baelish. Should Sansa ever learn of Baelish's role in Ned's death, or the release of Jaime (this second one resulting in Karstak killing the other Lannister prisoners, which led to Robb beheading Karstark, which i believe was the final straw for the northern lords that betrayed Robb at the red wedding), then Sansa will end Baelish, or force him to end her.

I want Arya to kill Baelish. It's probably gonna be Sansa though. Poetic if you ask me. The only thing is, at this point, what can Sansa really do? Obviously she can destroy Baelish, but if she has a sense of self awareness, she has to know that he's her only chance for survival / regaining position in life. Sansa never struck me as being honorable like the other Starks... I think she'd choose her own relationship with Baelish in a bid for self preservation over revenge for her family.
