so, the instructions are inaccurate...
delete any of your old short-cuts so you don't get confused trying to launch the correct icon.
navigate to your game folder (wherever you installed the game files), right click the eqgame file (eqgame.exe if you have system files visible), left click CREATE SHORTCUT (not send to desktop).
Follow the remainder of the instructions
Should look something like this C:\EQEMU\eqgame.exe patchme
Move the new shortcut to your desktop... & go.
