Just started playing on R99 as well, and I'm having a great time like you are.
I'll admit I didn't believe the "Come Red 2015," hype at all, but after making a so-called Bloodpact with my brother and our mutual friend (we don't play unless we're all on) and getting a few hilarious group fights under our belts, it's safe to say we'll be staying here for a very long time.
Don't underestimate the power of the classic barbarian: rogue, warrior, shaman trio. Especially when that trio has been given great weapons by some of the most generous souls to ever grace EQ. All we need now is good MR armor, and maybe one or two pairs of Jboots.
