One of the things I like about Red is that I can theoretically band together with other players and contest the raid mobs. If I choose to be on a good team with good teammates, if I contribute to the guild, if I step up and help provide good leadership, then we can get there. My future/epic is in my own hands
Also, the population on Red seems fine to me. There are plenty of groups. I've leveled my main to 58 and alts to 12, 20, 26, and 27 since I came from Live on November 7 (and I was AFK for a month to visit family over the holidays. Don't worry about twink PKs - just take your group to a dungeon on Antonica or Kunark and barely anyone will be there.

You mean you've been able to twink out your alts and have no problem leveling. For *brand* new people, like me, I can say with certainty, it isn't as easy as people make it out to be. Unless you start in the very common leveling areas (and even then I had a hell of a time finding anyone to group with in Gfay) it's almost borderline a miracle that you happen to be starting when someone else is.
To be fair, I find the Red community helpful. Not as much as Blue, which is surprising, but I've had already someone step up and help me with a weapon which I appreciate immensely. I can finally kill higher blues, ffs!
