I do not believe that. There is a reason a mob opens to FFA loot after a period of time. The Devs did that. If you don't want your stuff looted, simply tell the person once. If they don't listen, screen cap, petition and get the person in trouble.
If they listen, then all good.
The other day a bard was kiting in FV with a druid. Level 40, 41 and 42. All within a VERY short period of time. The mass amounts of Drovargs...it was crazy. All druid did was loot everything. It was a good way to avoid that situation.
