Except it is mostly right. Start killing those shardwurms and other level appropriate mobs if you want your portals. It was a pain getting around at first in Velious back in 2000.

Skyshrine Vendor Patched:
Just a while ago, Skyshrine went down for some patching. It looks like the Great Divide portal has been put on the vendor! There are four portals available to purchase now: Great Divide, Wakening Lands, Cobalt Scar, and Iceclad. If you don't know how to get there, check yesterday's news for the map.

Portal Vendor To Be Patched:
Ya, but when? You ask. Well, Ester the Tester posted about it, there's no definite date on when it will be patched with the correct spell of Great Divide Portal instead of Iceclad. Here's her quote from the Bug Board -

There was a problem unfortunately and the spell was missed
It will be fixed the next time we patch data... that is the best I can do sorry =(
Even though they blew it, I can at least respect Ester for replying.
The bummer is that there is no set date for the next patch. Rumors are up to 3 weeks out. Ouch!

Skyshrine Portal Vendor:
Yesterday, Verant introduced our vendor to the world that supplies us with our Velious portal spells. However, there are a couple issues with this vendor.

The vendor carries 3 portals.. but not the correct three. It seems that instead of putting the Great Divide Portal on the vendor, Iceclad Portal is in it's place. So the three portals the vendor carries are Wakening Lands, Cobalt Scar, and Iceclad.
Many are having faction issues with this vendor, resulting in not being able to purchase. If this is the case, the quick fix is to find someone with good faction to buy your spells for you or bring an enchanter or bard to correct the issue.

This is taken from an e-mail I just recieved.

Zone: Skyshrine
Vendor: Guardian Trekolz
Location: +322, -874 This is a secret area. In order to find it, Enter Skyshrine. Go through the first gate, turn left. At the next intersection, turn left and then an immediate right. Go up the stairs then take the first right. Go all the way to the end of this hall, past all the doors then turn left. This hallway will dead end, but at the dead end you fall through to the spell vendor room.
Ignore the above location and follow this map. =)
I have not checked this to confirm but it sounds like a very logical place. Thanks Grimone!

Sorry about the time I took to post this but better late than never I guess. This is an exerpt from today's patch message -

However, given today's server maintenance being performed by our Operations Team, we were able to include a few small updates. These include some minor polishing on the Plane of Mischief, as well as the placement of the wizard's Velious teleport spells on merchants.
Uh... so the portals really weren't there all along and we were on a goose chase? Bah.. anyway.. go find em boys and girls!
