Only way to be safe is through obscurity. Use a wired ethernet cord, and when you're not using your comp, unplug all of it.

I'm responding to subtle suggesting that any attempt to take action is pointless/too late/etc.
Also, using a wired connection is not going to add privacy unless you're trying to evade packet sniffing at Starbucks. Neither is unplugging your computer (or am I missing the sarcasm?)
What will help is when third party tools are developed that block the transmission of personal data to the aggregation services, sort of like how AdBlock disables the ability to use cookies, trackers, etc.
