Until Luclin, people using DA still had whatever aggro they had. Mobs didn't ignore them while they had DA.

DA got nerfed in luclin due to the paladin hammer that procs DA. It was OP to proc DA and have the mob keep beating on the paladin, so DA was nerfed such that mobs would immediately ignore someone while they have DA and bounce to whoever is next on aggro list.
