I have all characters hands carrying their weapons etc, and I can log into whichever zone they happen to be in.
I saw that the 'Backup' folder in the /Sony/Everquest dir was empty and decided to re install. This took some time to do as my son did the original install some years ago, and I had to figure out the virtual drive business. Anyway got that loaded and then tried to set up and play the game. This was not easy

My /Sony/Everquest/backup folder was empty.
I had seen the S3D Files backup dir in the /Sony dir but had not realized that that was the one I needed. After comparing that folder's content to to /Sony/ Everquest content
I decided to copy/paste and got back into the game.
I have been a bit long winded I know, but it just might help some-one else with similar issues to see how I managed to fix my problem.
Remember. Not everyone that loves this game is a wizard at techy stuff.
